The Lonely Walk

Covid 19 allows us to exercise once a day.  My usual routine is to swim five mornings a week at the local pool.  Due to recent events this facility has been closed until further notice, so I am making the most of walking along the lanes near my home.

It is a lonely walk, but I particularly enjoy the wind on my face and my senses have improved hearing the distant farmer working on his tractor, the sound of the newborn lambs (500 sheep waiting their turn) and the variety of song birds in the hedges.  I love walking and every day see something different.  The newly planted hedge is starting to turn green.  I pass a few houses nestled into the village, with people staying behind closed doors or like me going out when no-one else is around.
I passed a man on horseback and would have normally stopped for a chat but just a nod as we go on our way.  Till tomorrow when I walk along another lane.
